What do I get with my subscription?
Your subscription is a compilation of research and alignment, or themed to create an experiential gourmet meal based on where a story takes one in the world. With the subscription, you receive the name of the book, a short synopsis of what the original book club members thought about the book, a 5-7 course menu that aligns with the locale(s) or theme of the story from cocktail to dessert.

Additionally, we include other ideas to make the meal more experiential, tips and tricks and the recipes for all menu items. Upon subscribing, you will create a login and each month you will receive a different book title, menu, and recipes from a global or regional location in the world. The locales will be announced prior to release (two months in advance).


How much does it cost?
Membership is payable yearly at an annual rate of $146 per year.


Can I get my money back if I end up not taking advantage of the membership?
The membership is refundable AFTER the first 90 days prorated for the first 3 months, upon written request via US mail to Gourmet Book Club, 2136 Ford Parkway #5019, Saint Paul, MN 55116


What if I my diet doesn’t allow me to eat what is on the menu?
Included in the membership in some cases,  ideas and alternate ideas or options will be listed but if you have questions beyond what is provided, you may ask the experts who will research your needs for alternative foods that respect your diet but still support the locale or theme.


Where can I find general information?

Through out the website you’ll find various pieces of information relevant to gourmet cooking, recipes, ideas, tips and tricks, decorating, and entertaining. Membership information can be found here in the FAQ but if you have questions that are not addressed, please use the contact us link to email your questions and we will make every effort to respond within 24 hours.


If there is a recipe I’d like to refer for future months menus, may I submit it and is there compensation for my submittal?
We are happy to receive suggestions and happy to give you credit [ex: This recipe submitted by Janet, Edina, MN] however no compensation will be given because we are unable to vet the origins of the recipe.


What if I don’t want to do the cooking? Do you recommend caterers?
There are other options for hosting your dining event, such as progressive dinners, guests each bring a different dish from the menu, or you may hire a caterer or private chef. Additionally, if you are located in Minneapolis/St. Paul, you may hire Just A Formality, an event management company, parent company of www.gourmetbookclub.com.


Do the recipes include ideas to serve more or less guests?
In some cases, this information may be available. If the information is not available, please use the contact us email link and we can assist in determining appropriate measurements.


Can the recipes be made ahead of time and what is the best way to store the prepared foods?

Will you ever host events for subscribers to attend?
